Professional dancer since 2003, ELIZABETH MEDINA (Spain) decided to devote herself exclusively to her great passion and vocation: dancing. Through great artistic skills she is demanding at the highest level with everything she undertakes and invests all her heart, soul and energy in each of her performances.
Her style was born with the fusion of different disciplines creating a unique and very personal essence that defines her as a dancer: dance pedagogy studies specialized in contemporary dance at the Alicante Dance Conservatory; arabic, classical and folk dance by Narjess Montasser; rhythms and arabic music professional level analysis at the Tunisian Teacher School of Dance; odissi dance: indian classical dance with Colleena Shakti in Shakti School of dance, India.; kalbelia, the folk dance of Rajasthan; learning with Miriam Peretz in the last two years and dancing on her world dance company “Nava Dance Collective” performing Mystical Persian South East Dances.
She's travelling once a year to India to be in contact with it’s amazing dance and culture, following Padma Vibushan Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra lineage and learning kalbelia from Raki and Susheela Kalbelia.
In a result of all that, she created her own dance style IndOriental®, read more about it under workshop descriptions (coming soon!).
